In support of this goal, the software engineering team provides development services to Caterpillar and its business units. Partnering with the Product Management organization, we provide a unified customer/prospect ecosystem and enhanced marketing analytics and activities. As the Salesforce Technical Lead, you will be a core member and technical leader of a scrum team that is comprised of developers, product owners, architects, and other essential partner roles. **What You Will Do:** + Provide technical and team leadership in design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar’s Salesforce Digital Marketing capabilities. + Design, develop, and implement solutions on the Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud platforms that consider system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, security, and scalability. + Integrate with backend systems, publishers, and partner teams to ensure the platform provides needed functionality and service, while focusing on the prime goal of modernizing the platform. + Ensure team adherence to project security and quality standards. ​ + Collaborate closely with product owners and Business Analysts to refine business requirements and provide technical guidance to translate them into clear, actionable user stories.​Work with Scrum Master to confirm user stories are ready for development. + Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. + Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. + Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior developers. + Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis. + Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness. + Engage with Enterprise Architects to review high level solutions and lead their development. **What You Will Have:** **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Software Development:** Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements. **Software Development Life Cycle:** Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace. **Software Integration Engineering:** Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages. **Software Product Testing:** Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements. **Considerations For Top Candidates:** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent working experience + Knowledge and experience with Salesforce architecture, Salesforce security configuration, sharing rules and user management. + Experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions. + Experience enhancing the Salesforce platform using configuration and code involving Apex, Lightning UI with Aura, LWC, Visual force, JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS. + Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud + Knowledge of Salesforce Analytics + Other Salesforce certifications + Experience designing integration frameworks between Salesforce and external systems and portals using standard connectors or REST/SOAP APIs. + Experience with Salesforce Community portals. + Declarative customization including the creation of Flow, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Workflow rules, Reports and Dashboards. + Thorough understanding of Salesforce Deployment Process and tools. + Salesforce Admin, Platform Developer I and II, and/or other Salesforce certifications. + Minimum three years of experience as a Lead/SME Lead. + Knowledge of Agile-based project methodologies and tools. + Passion for technology and eagerness to contribute to a collaborative environment. + Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities. + Experience working with an onshore/offshore team model. **What You Will Get:** Working with a Fortune 100 leader, you can build your career on a global scale and take advantage of development opportunities with emerging technologies.
