How will you make an impact in this role?

We are seeking a Band 30 Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation) to join our ICRST (International Card & Risk Services Technology) organization in Bangalore,India. This role is responsible for driving test automation, quality engineering practices, and Salesforce testing across enterprise applications. 

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on automation experience, strong Salesforce domain knowledge, and proven ability to deliver quality solutions in Agile, CI/CD-driven environments. This is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for mentoring junior engineers and influencing quality strategy at the application level. 

You will be part of an Engineering team :

Reporting to an Engineering Director or Senior Engineering Manager 

Work closely with Salesforce developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams 

Operate within Agile / SAFe delivery models 

Execute portfolio-level quality and automation strategies 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Automation & Quality Engineering 

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks using one or more of the following: 

Selenium 

Playwright 

Karate 

Cucumber (BDD) 

Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, integration, and API testing 

Maintain and enhance automation regression suites to support frequent releases 

Ensure automation coverage aligns with business, functional, and non-functional requirements 

 

Salesforce Testing (Mandatory) 

Perform end-to-end testing of Salesforce applications, including: 

Salesforce configuration and customization testing 

Workflow, validation rule, and data integrity testing 

Integration testing with upstream and downstream systems 

Collaborate with Salesforce developers and administrators to ensure quality delivery 

 

 

SDLC, Agile & CI/CD Enablement 

Participate across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement analysis, design reviews, test planning, execution, and release validation 

Drive automation execution in CI/CD pipelines 

Support audit, compliance, and evidence requirements as per internal quality standards 

Actively contribute to shift-left testing and defect prevention strategies 

Defect & Quality Management 

Log, track, and manage defects using standard defect tracking tools 

Perform root cause analysis and partner with developers to improve code quality 

Define, track, and analyze quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, automation effectiveness, and test execution status 

Collaboration & Technical Leadership 

Act as a quality SME at the application level 

Mentor and guide junior QA engineers 

Contribute to automation strategy, tooling decisions, and best practices 

Participate in internal quality engineering communities and continuous improvement initiatives 

 

Required Qualifications 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience 

Experience 

5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Automation Testing 

Strong experience in Salesforce application testing (must-have) 

Proven hands-on experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD environments

Experience working in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
