Salesforce CRM Technical Analyst

What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker International is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce CRM Technical Analyst to design, implement, support, and enhance our Salesforce Sales Cloud platform. This role is primarily technical and will focus on Salesforce development, integration, system administration, data management, security, and ongoing platform support. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud implementations, complex system integrations, and enterprise-scale CRM environments, preferably within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) or project-based industries.

This role partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, other developers, vendors, implementation parters and integration teams to ensure Salesforce is scalable, secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise systems and data strategies.

What You'll Do:

Salesforce Platform Development & Configuration

Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud solutions using:  Custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and Lightning Experience Flows (record-triggered, screen, scheduled), validation rules, approval processes Apex (classes, triggers, batch, schedulable) and SOQL/SOSL as needed Lightning Web Components (LWC) for custom UI and extensions Support end-to-end Sales Cloud processes including Accounts & Contacts, Lead management and conversion, Opportunity lifecycle and forecasting Proposal and pipeline management

System Integration & Architecture

Design, implement, and support bi-directional integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems, including  Oracle ERP (Financials), Oracle HCM, Deltek (Vantagepoint / Vision), Microsoft Outlook / Exchange / Microsoft 365. Work with middleware and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services, or equivalent). Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and asynchronous processing. Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, performance issues, and data synchronization problems.

Data Management & Migration

Lead and support data migration, conversion, and synchronization efforts:  Data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation Large-volume data loads using Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, or ETL tools Establish and enforce data quality standards, duplicate management, and governance controls. Support data-related activities during Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and system consolidations.

System Administration, Security & Compliance

Manage Salesforce administration activities including:  User provisioning, roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules Security model design aligned with business and compliance requirements Monitor system health, performance, storage usage, and limits. Ensure platform configurations align with Salesforce best practices and enterprise security standards.

AI, Automation & Emerging Capabilities

Support and configure Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce capabilities at a foundational level, including:  Einstein Activity Capture, forecasting insights, and opportunity insights Basic AI-driven automation and recommendations Collaborate with architects and business teams to evaluate AI use cases and roadmap opportunities.

Reporting, Analytics & Insights

Design and maintain advanced Salesforce reports and dashboards for sales performance, pipeline, forecasting, and KPIs. Ensure Salesforce data is structured and available for downstream analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI). Support data consumers with optimized reporting and performance tuning.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

Provide Level 2/3 technical support for Salesforce incidents, enhancements, and defects. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes. Participate in release management, deployments, regression testing, and environment management (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod). Proactively identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and user experience.

What You Need to Succeed:

5–7 years of hands-on experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud in a technical or techno-functional role. Strong technical expertise in:  Salesforce configuration and administration Apex, SOQL, Flows, and Lightning Web Components Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations using APIs and middleware platforms. Solid experience with data migration, data quality management, and system integrations. Strong understanding of CRM architecture and Sales Cloud data model. Ability to work effectively with architects, developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Hands-on integration experience with Oracle ERP & HCM, Deltek (Vantagepoint/Vision), and Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in AEC, Engineering, Construction, or project-based industries. Experience supporting Salesforce in large, complex, or multi-org environments. Exposure to Salesforce Einstein, Agentforce, or AI-driven CRM features. Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I (or higher), and Sales Cloud Consultant

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
