The Sales Trainer for the Great Lakes Area (GLA) will be focused on the training and development of our Sr. Account Executives (outside sales) and Account Executives (inside sales) in the GLA market area. Qualified candidates should live in the states of GLA, which include MI, IN, and OH, preferably local to the Detroit area, with market area headquarters in Plymouth, MI. At least 50% travel will be expected, with the ability to work from home when not on the road or making in-office visits.
I. Job Summary
This Area level position drives efficiency improvement, profitable revenue growth, and provides training and development for the Inside and Outside Sales Teams. This position reports to the Area Sales Director or their designee.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and deliver training programs focused on communication, active listening, objection handling, and consultative selling.
Executes ongoing training that provides both formal training and informal coaching sessions to both Inside and Outside Sales Representatives.Participates in training and coaching the Inside Sales and Outside sales staff. Creates and delivers quality training programs as required to increase the effectiveness of employees.Assesses training needs, develops and enhances new and existing training programs which consistently meet the goals and needs of the company and the end-user. Determines training needs from input given by the field and sales leadership team.Continually evaluates the effectiveness of all programs for updating and enhancements.Provide structured feedback to reps and managers to support continuous improvement.
Maintain a consistent training cadence that aligns with sales cycles and business priorities.
Facilitate workshops on negotiation, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligenceOther duties as assigned.
