Sales Support Assistant
Position Summary

The Sales Support Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Commercial Sales team and delivering a positive experience for our customers. This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, including new customer account setup, request intake and triage, and coordination across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.

This role will also serve as occasional backup support for the Receptionist and Mail Clerk functions as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Salesforce Inquiry Case queue, including:New customer account setupERP account migrationsCustomer account updatesCompletion of approximately 1–10 accounts per dayTriage department email inboxes, ensuring all messages are reviewed and delegated within 24 hoursRefer complex or escalated inquiries to the appropriate individuals or teamsVerify and authorize customer credit limits up to $5,000; partner with the Finance team for higher‑level approvalsSupport distributor onboarding and maintain e‑commerce customer accountsCoordinate completion of customer and vendor forms and questionnaires, working closely with Legal, Finance, and Quality teamsProvide backup support for the Receptionist and Mail Clerk as neededCollaborate cross‑functionally to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer requestsEssential SkillsSales and administrative supportCustomer serviceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, Word, Outlook)Experience with ERP and CRM systemsAdditional QualificationsHigh School diploma required3–5 years of administrative or receptionist experienceFamiliarity with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics AX preferredStrong data entry and typing skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilitiesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent organizational and multitasking skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
