Job Description Summary
The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for the sales forecast as well as the spend forecast and tracks Sales KPIs and quota attainment for a dedicated region within Telco Solutions, HPE Networking.
In addition, this role holds great responsibility for the yearly budgeting process (LTP) for the Go-To-Market organisation in Telco Solutions. You are also the crucial link between sales and our order management teams ensuring sales orders are booked accurately at the end of every quarter.
This role is key to drive Sales Performance enablement for our Telco Solutions business providing our sales teams with the analytics needed to effectively drive opportunity management. While the Telco Solutions Business Unit is constantly evolving, you will be a key player to drive important change initiatives when it comes to our management of sales data, our toolset and processes.
The Sales Operations Planning Lead works very closely with the Sales Director for the region and frequently collaborates with the second Sales Operations Planning Lead in the team. This is a key function within the Sales Operations Team, located at the intersection between Business, Operations, Finance and Management. This is a unique opportunity to be connected to our customers and our internal functions. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and collaborator that can effectively manage different groups of stakeholders. You will become part of a global, high-performing team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
By providing deep analysis and accurate performance forecasts, you will be able to contribute to the overall success of the business unit. Hence, you should have a passion for working with numbers, an analytical mindset and an eye for detail. Advanced Excel skills are a must-have to succeed in this role.
Skill requirements:
- Language: Fluency in English is essential and Spanish would be beneficial.
- Passion for working with numbers and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills including: Advanced Excel incl. proficiency with macros (a must-have for this role), Salesforce and Skills in SAP are beneficial but not a must
- Business planning experience and familiarity, ideally experience with:
sales forecasting, spend forecasting, budgeting processes, quota tracking, P&L management
- Collaboration skills working across time zones and in different cultural contexts
- Certain flexibility in the working schedule since this is a global role
- Strong communicator that can effectively manage different groups of stakeholders such as sales, business operations, Finance and FAM as well as Management
