GFL Environmental is looking for a driven and experienced Sales Manager to support our team across Northern BC & AB!

The Sales Manager will lead sales teams across Northern British Columbia and Northern Alberta, building strong customer relationships, driving growth, and ensuring alignment with GFL’s corporate objectives. This role partners closely with leadership to deliver results through strategic sales planning, team coaching, and customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Account Managers to achieve targets.Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular territory visits.Develop and implement sales and retention strategies to grow market share.Deliver professional presentations and proposals that highlight GFL’s services.Analyze competitors and market trends to support pricing and bid strategies.Support acquisitions by identifying opportunities and assisting with integration.Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.Manage performance reviews, training, and CRM systems for the sales team.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the waste industry.Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop a sales team.Strong communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership and motivational skills to drive team performance.Ability to analyze trends and develop creative sales strategies.Skilled in negotiation, presentations, and client relationship management.Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities.
