Sales Leader APAC
The Sales Leader for APAC is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding Sensata’s footprint, and executing regional go to market strategies across key high priority markets. This leader will manage a geographically distributed sales and field applications team in APAC and will be directly accountable for rapidly scaling Sensata’s data center business in Taiwan, while accelerating the industrial business in Japan, India, and Oceania.

This role is pivotal to Sensata’s strategic transformation in Asia region and serves as the primary business interface between customers, partners, regional teams, and the global teams. A core deliverable for the first 12–18 months is establishing a strong commercial and technical support footprint in Taiwan, including formalizing the Sales + Field Application Engineer (FAE) organization to support hyperscale and ODM datacenter growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

Define and execute the multi‑year commercial strategy for Taiwan, India, Japan & Oceania aligned with Sensata’s growth priorities.

Lead a regional team of 17 sales and technical professionals, ensuring clear accountability, coaching, and a high‑performance culture.

Develop Taiwan into a regional hub for the data center sensor business, including on‑the‑ground sales, FAE, and customer engagement capabilities.

2. Business Growth & Revenue Ownership

Deliver annual revenue and margin targets across Taiwan, India, Japan, and Oceania.

Drive rapid expansion of the data center segment in Taiwan, including hyperscale, ODM, OEM, and ecosystem partners.

Grow industrial and diversified sensing business in Japan and India, including automation, robotics, transportation, and manufacturing sectors.

Expand channel partner networks and strengthen strategic partnerships to accelerate regional growth.

3. Customer & Market Development

Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with hyperscalers, cloud service providers, data center operators, industrial OEMs, and key accounts.

Identify emerging opportunities in next‑generation sensing technologies, data center infrastructure, industrial automation, and electrification.

Lead negotiations, pricing strategy, contractual discussions, and long‑term business agreements.

4. Establishing the Taiwan Commercial Footprint

Build the Taiwan in‑country organization (Sales + FAEs), including hiring, development, organizational design, and scaling technical capability.

Ensure rapid response and technical support for hyperscaler and data center customer needs.

Drive local ecosystem engagement including EMS, ODM, and SI partners.

5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sensata’s global business units.

Provide voice‑of‑customer (VOC) inputs to influence product roadmaps for data center and industrial sensing portfolios.

Partner with the VP of Product & Growth to align regional execution with global portfolio strategy.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in regional sales leadership in sensors, semiconductors, electronics, or industrial technology.

Strong technical understanding of sensors, electronics, industrial automation, or data center infrastructure.

Proven success in leading multi‑country teams and scaling new business segments.

Demonstrated experience engaging executive‑level customers across Asia.

Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational leadership skills.

Willingness to travel across Taiwan, Japan, India, and Oceania.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience building a new regional presence or sales/FAE organization.Direct experience with hyperscaler ecosystems, ODMs, and advanced manufacturing supply chains.Familiarity with APAC business practices, customer expectations, and regulatory environments.

Key Deliverables – First 12–24 Months

Establish Taiwan Sales & FAE footprint with full operational capability. Create a strong funnel to double data center revenue every year for next two years. Strengthen Sensata’s position with Japan industrial OEMs and major accounts. Accelerate India industrial and mobility pipeline with measurable YoY growth. Implement structured account plans, forecast accuracy improvements, and CRM discipline. Achieve regional employee engagement and retention targets.
