We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Sales Lead to join the TBTC team on a 12-month secondment.

In this role, you’ll provide strategic leadership to a team of account managers and sales specialists, driving growth across assigned and unassigned SMB customer portfolios. This is a leadership role where your ability to coach, inspire and enable others will directly influence customer experience, revenue growth and profitability outcomes.

As a Sales Lead, you’ll draw on your strong knowledge of the ICT industry and Telstra’s products, services and solutions to ensure your team is set up for success. You’ll be responsible for building capability, driving activity, and strengthening customer engagement to deliver against ambitious sales and performance targets. This secondment offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your leadership experience, build deep expertise within the TBTC segment and make a meaningful impact on Telstra’s growth agenda.

What You’ll Do

Telstra Enterprise - Business & Enterprise Sales Chapter Area helps businesses of all sizes meet their technology needs.

In this 12-month secondment as Sales Lead, you’ll lead and develop a team of account managers and sales specialists to drive growth across the TBTC SMB portfolio.

Your focus will be on enabling your team to identify, progress and convert sales opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and deliver sustainable revenue outcomes. You’ll play a critical role in shaping strategy, supporting complex customer opportunities and fostering a high-performance sales culture.

A taste of what you’ll do

Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to a team of account managers and sales specialists.

Act as a subject matter expert on Telstra Business products and solutions, supporting your team to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Coach and mentor team members through regular customer engagements, helping to progress and close large opportunities.

Partner with internal stakeholders to gather insights and develop tailored customer solutions.

Analyse industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and multi-product customer deals.

Contribute to the development of compelling proposals that deliver strong customer value while protecting Telstra’s commercial interests.

Ensure alignment between evolving customer requirements and proposed solution architectures.

Provide technical leadership and guidance from opportunity ideation through to implementation.

Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to support new solution introduction and ongoing solution management.

Support the broader TBTC Business Technology Advisor and Account Management teams with technical expertise.

Establish and execute sales plans, allocating targets and tracking performance daily through PowerBI reporting.

Prepare and present weekly sales performance reports to senior leadership.

Drive a culture of continuous learning by keeping up to date with industry trends and best practice.

About You

Extensive experience in sales leadership, including managing and developing high-performing teams.

Strong background in ICT/IT and proven experience in solution selling.

Demonstrated commercial and technical acumen.

Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

A customer-centric mindset with the ability to navigate complex sales environments.

Experience using data and insights to drive performance and decision making.
