We are seeking a technically proficient and customer-centric Pre-Sales Engineer / FAE to support our retail hardware sales team in the Indian market. Focused on POS systems, self-service kiosks, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), touch monitors, and related retail hardware, you will bridge technical expertise with customer needs—empowering sales teams to win deals and ensuring seamless technical support for clients across grocery chains, F&B outlets, QSRs, and convenience stores. The ideal candidate combines deep retail hardware technology knowledge, a passion for retail tech evolution, and a proactive, quick-learning mindset to thrive in a dynamic, customer-facing role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with retail sales teams to understand customer requirements (e.g., grocery chain checkout efficiency, QSR order processing, F&B kitchen workflow optimization) and design tailored hardware solutions (POS terminals, kiosks, KDS, touch monitors).Conduct technical product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) tests for clients, showcasing hardware capabilities (Android AiO, Wintel AiO, touch monitor responsiveness, durability for retail environments).Provide technical insights during sales negotiations, including hardware compatibility, advantage, integration feasibility, deployment, and cost optimization from product, operation and technical perspective.Draft technical proposals, solution specifications, and response-to-tender (RTT) documents to support sales pitches for grocery chains, QSR franchises, and F&B operators.Stay ahead of retail technology evolution in India (e.g., contactless payment integration, IoT-enabled retail hardware, self-service adoption trends) and advise internal teams on product positioning.Master technical details of core hardware: Android AiO/Wintel AiO systems, touch monitor technologies (capacitive/resistive), KDS functionality, POS peripheral compatibility (printers, scanners), and durability standards for high-traffic retail environments.Troubleshoot technical queries from prospects and clients during pre-sales stages, resolving concerns related to hardware performance, deployment, or long-term maintenance.Provide on-site/off-site technical support during hardware installation, configuration, and user training for clients (grocery chains, convenience stores, QSRs/F&B outlets).Collaborate with the customer success team to address post-deployment technical issues, ensuring smooth transition to normal operations.Gather customer feedback on hardware performance and usability, sharing insights with product teams to drive improvements aligned with Indian retail needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.Minimum 7 years of pre-sales/FAE experience supporting retail hardware products (POS systems, kiosks, touch monitors, KDS) in the Indian market.Proven technical expertise in retail hardware technologies:Location: Delhi or Mumbai
