Overview

Labcorp, recognized by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers and by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead growth within our Hospital and Health Systems segment across the North Central Division.

This is a senior-level, field-based leadership role focused on building high-impact partnerships with some of the largest and most influential health systems in the region. You’ll be joining a mission-driven organization that supports over 160 million patient encounters annually through cutting-edge diagnostics, drug development, and technology-enabled solutions.

The Director of Sales will lead efforts to secure new reference lab partnerships, identify M&A and strategic collaboration opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior health system executives. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping Labcorp’s presence in the hospital market and driving long-term, sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a high-performing team of hospital sales and account management professionalsDevelop and execute strategic sales plans in collaboration with divisional and regional leadershipDrive new reference lab partnerships with major health systems across the territoryIdentify and pursue M&A and strategic partnership opportunities aligned with Labcorp’s growth objectivesCultivate executive-level relationships and negotiate complex, high-value contractsRepresent Labcorp’s full portfolio of diagnostic and technology-enabled solutionsLeverage data and market insights to forecast performance and refine strategyChampion Labcorp’s value proposition in a competitive and rapidly evolving healthcare landscapeRepresent Labcorp at industry events, conferences, and executive forumsHire, coach, and develop top sales talent while fostering a culture of performance and collaboration

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Finance preferredMinimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience in a hospital or health system setting, or 5+ years in hospital laboratory leadershipAt least 3 years in a leadership or managerial roleProven experience navigating large health system contracting processesStrong relationships with hospital decision-makers and influencersDemonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office and sales enablement toolsWillingness to travel up to 50% within the territoryMust reside within the territory (IN, IL, OH, KY, WI, MI, WV, MO, or PA)

Pay Range: $160,000--$200,000 + sales incentive plan

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

The position is also eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan.  Bonus/commissions are earned based on achievement of performance metrics under the plan. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
