Sales Manager-Power Protection
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. Join us as a Sales Development Specialist – Critical Power within ABB’s Electrification Business Area. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth across a designated market by developing qualified opportunities, strengthening channel partnerships, and promoting ABB’s industry‑leading Power Protection solutions. Reporting to the ANZ Sales Manager – Critical Power, you will play a pivotal role in delivering revenue, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction targets in line with the division strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical sales expertise, build long-term customer relationships, and position ABB as a trusted partner in critical and secure power applications.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Identify, qualify and develop new sales opportunities, achieving revenue, profitability and market-share targets for the Critical Power portfolio.Develop long-term relationships with customers and channel partners, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales process.Use ABB-approved tools to prepare sales plans, manage pipelines, conduct regular status reviews and implement recovery actions where required.Coordinate with Bid & Proposal and Marketing teams to prepare accurate offers, ensuring technical compliance, pricing accuracy and alignment with ABB strategy.Communicate ABB’s solutions effectively, support marketing initiatives and increase market awareness of the Power Protection portfolio within assigned segments and geographies.Uphold ABB’s core values, safety and integrity standards, while collaborating across divisions and teams to support knowledge sharing and seamless customer support.Qualifications for the Role
Proven technical sales experience in power systems, electrical infrastructure or industrial solutions, with a strong record of achieving sales and margin targets.Solid understanding of Data Centres, industrial manufacturing, mining, water and wastewater or government infrastructure sectors, particularly within major project environments.Experience working through complex project sales cycles, including engagement at feasibility and FEED stages to influence technical specifications.Strong business development and account management capability, with the ability to build pipelines, grow accounts and identify new opportunities.Technical credibility in critical power applications, with knowledge of UPS, power conditioning or related systems considered highly desirable.Strategically minded and self-driven sales professional, with strong stakeholder management skills and proficiency in CRM and sales planning tools.More about us:
