Sales Development Manager
The Sales Development Manager is responsible for exploring and driving business growth within high-potential emerging segments such as ADC, GLP-1, Oligo, CGT, and related fields. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic reference projects, and expanding market share through proactive business development and agile initiatives. This role will also dedicate efforts to downstream MU hardware project business, ensuring alignment with Sartorius’s strategic growth objectives. Main Responsibilities & Tasks: + Identify and explore new business opportunities and potential clients within emerging segments (ADC, GLP-1, oligo, CGT, etc.). + Develop and execute strategic business development plans to establish reference projects and enhance market presence. + Drive agile initiatives to capture dynamic growth opportunities in fast-evolving segments. + Dedicate focused resources to develop and grow downstream MU hardware project business. + Collaborate closely with Account Management, FAS, and Marketing teams to manage opportunity lifecycle. + Provide technical and commercial insights to support customer engagements and project specifications. + Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and segment dynamics to inform strategy adjustments. Qualifications & Skills: + Bachelor or above degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Life Sciences, or related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharma, with at least 3 years in sales, business development, or strategic roles. + Demonstrated experience in emerging segments such as ADC, CGT, oligo, or related fields is highly desirable. + Knowledge of MU hardware projects is a plus. + Strong business acumen, market insight, and ability to identify growth opportunities. + Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. + Fluent mandarin required, and solid English reading & writing.
