Our client, an established industrial supplier is looking for an experienced Sales Counter Representative to join their team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded. **$22 - $25/hour** Qualified individuals will possess the following skills: + High school diploma or equivalent.  Previous experience in customer service or retail is a plus.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Basic math skills for processing transactions and providing accurate pricing information.  Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.  Attention to detail and organizational skills. Enthusiasm for engaging with customers and delivering exceptional service.  Physical ability to meet the requirements outlined above. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Customer Assistance:  Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere.  Listen attentively to customer inquiries, understand their needs, and provide accurate information about products, pricing, and promotions.  Assist customers in finding the right products by offering recommendations and explaining features. 2. Transaction Processing:  Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.  Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to security procedures.  Issue receipts and maintain a balanced cash drawer. 3. Product Knowledge:  Develop a strong understanding of the products available for sale, including their features, benefits, and applications.  Stay up-to-date with product inventory levels to inform customers of availability. 4. Upselling and Cross-Selling:  Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary products to maximize sales and enhance customer satisfaction. 5. Inventory Management:  Monitor stock levels and replenish products on the sales floor as needed.  Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate product availability.
