Sales Counter Representative

Our client, an established industrial supplier is looking for an experienced Sales Counter Representative to join their team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded.
**$22 - $25/hour**
Qualified individuals will possess the following skills:
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in customer service or retail is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic math skills for processing transactions and providing accurate pricing information. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Enthusiasm for engaging with customers and delivering exceptional service. Physical ability to meet the requirements outlined above.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Customer Assistance: Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Listen attentively to customer inquiries, understand their needs, and provide accurate information about products, pricing, and promotions. Assist customers in finding the right products by offering recommendations and explaining features. 2. Transaction Processing: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to security procedures. Issue receipts and maintain a balanced cash drawer. 3. Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the products available for sale, including their features, benefits, and applications. Stay up-to-date with product inventory levels to inform customers of availability. 4. Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary products to maximize sales and enhance customer satisfaction. 5. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and replenish products on the sales floor as needed. Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate product availability.
