Position Overview:
Role Purpose:
The Sales Auditor is a strategic member of Finance. Their analytical mindset and ability to work cross-functionally helps drive success to the business. The Sales Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all sales transactions are polled from the POS and recorded correctly in the sales audit systems. They are responsible for the daily reconciliation of sales and cash receipts. They will also have responsibilities associated with month end close including system interfaces, journal entries and account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Functions:
Researches and provides support to credit card vendors regarding chargebacks.
Responsible for ensuring that all sales transactions are polled from POS and recorded correctly in the sales audit systems. Help trouble shoot and identify POS/software issues and procedural improvements
Researches and provides support to merchants regarding chargebacks.
Reconcile cash receipts to polled sales on a daily basis
Month End responsibilities including interfaces, journal entries and account reconciliations
Monitor, route and respond to incoming store calls, emails and tickets
Facilitate the opening, closing and maintenance of store depository accounts
Complete ad hoc assignments as requested by management
Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (experience would be considered in lieu of degree)
Experience:
3 plus years working experience, ideally in an accounting and/or retail environment
Experience with bank reconciliations
Previous Sales Audit experience is a plus.
Skills:
Knowledge of PC Systems (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience with Trintech-ReconNET, ReSA Sales Audit, and Oracle financial systems preferred.
Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationship with co-workers and cross-functional teams
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
