Job Summary and Essential Job Duties:
As a Sales Administrator at Optimax Systems, you will be at the forefront of our mission to enable customer success. This role is responsible for creating high-value customer relationships, prioritizing responsiveness to our customers, and helping to improve upon and strengthen the corporate brand. This position demands someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, work ethic, organizational management skills, is goal oriented, and able to draw energy from being a part of a team. They will interface with all aspects of the business and work directly with customers to help support and shape corporate performance. The Sales Administrator seeks to pursue constant improvements in supporting our customers and the customer experience. The Sales Administrator will serve as a point of contact for customers with inquiries about quotes and existing orders and must be able to work in multiple software systems.
Through On the Job Training (OJT), Sales Administrator will:
+ Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing customers across key markets.
+ Serve as a primary high-level commercial point of contact, understanding customer requirements and ensuring alignment with Optimax capabilities.
+ Contact customers to gather information, collect feedback, or answer queries, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
+ Process quotes and orders, and update records accordingly.
+ Handle sensitive and confidential information.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership to ensure successful program execution and customer satisfaction.
+ Navigate changing priorities, complex requirements, and dynamic timelines while maintaining a commitment to customer success.
+ May be asked to represent Optimax at meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences in support of customer relationships
Education Requirements:
+ Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum Requirements:
+ Three (3) years’ experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including poise, tact, diplomacy and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations in a professional manner.
+ Highly motivated team player that demonstrates attention to detail, is results oriented, and can smoothly manage multiple projects & customers, with minimal supervision.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, & Outlook
+ FileMaker and Epicor preferred
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
+ Strong problem solving skills
