Schedule:\n

5x2, 4x3 Days 9hr Shifts\n

Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of Safe work assignments and daily goals;, communicating company goals and objectives to employees; Interacting with all employees in the work areas, providing coaching as warranted; coordinating and conducting work area inspections and SOP review; collecting and accurately reporting data from a variety of sources; assisting with third party audits (including MSHA); Maintain training records and prepare training progress reports; Provide follow-up on all training facets by issuing reports to management and maintaining frequent contact with operations and maintenance supervisors who conduct on-the-job training; Identify additional training requirements through discussion with operating supervision and awareness of new facilities and equipment being installed.\n

Qualifications and Skills:\n\nFive years relevant work experience. \nWorking knowledge of underground mining operations including safety, production, maintenance, economics, equipment and staff utilization\nLeadership qualities including: character, teamwork, communication, business sense and vision\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\nUnderstanding of health, safety, MSHA, and environmental regulations\nUnderstanding of underground mining methods and terminology\nStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and train employees on various assignments\/equipment\nMust meet and maintain qualifications for working with explosives per the Safe Explosives Act.\nKnowledge of training delivery and development methods.\nProven ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials.\nAttention to detail and ability to work in a team with a high regard for Quality and Environmental concerns and with a strong commitment to Safety and Safe Production.\nAbility to motivate others.\nAbility to maintain records and create reports.\nAbility to assess and evaluate those being trained. \n\n

Education & Experience\n\nStrong planning and organizational skills.\nDemonstrated computer skills in Windows environment with experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work efficiently with minimal supervision, ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.\nPrevious supervisory experience\nCritical thinking and problem solving skills\nMSHA Blue Card preferred (or ability to obtain)\n\n
