This position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the company's safety and health programs. The role includes coordinating and conducting safety trainings to meet state and federal requirements, maintaining records, providing safety analyses of new equipment and process changes, assisting in workers' compensation claims, tracking injuries, and reviewing and making recommendations for safety improvements. Additionally, the position involves participating in safety and ergonomic assessments.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the implementation and creation of safety and health programs.Complete internal and regulatory reports and submittals.Ensure understanding of safety programs through effective communication.Prepare and present reports and safety-related material to all levels of the company.Host and conduct safety, health, ergonomic, and work process audits.Schedule and conduct internal and regulatory safety training.Participate in ISO Environmental Management System audits.Complete machine, PPE, and process risk assessments for safety improvements.Participate in accident investigations and root cause analysis.Essential Skills2+ years of safety experience.Experience implementing and creating safety and health programs.Proficiency in safety auditing.Proficiency in safety training.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Familiarity with OSHA regulations.Experience with workers' compensation.Safety certification such as CSP.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.Experience working in a manufacturing setting.CSP Certification.Experience with Worker's Compensation.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes exposure to both office and production floor settings. Temperatures may range from cold to very hot, with varying noise levels and occasional fumes, requiring ear protection at all times. The role requires the ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities, with minimal supervision after orientation and training. Physical activities such as frequent use of stairs, ladders, bending, lifting, reaching, and squatting are necessary to perform equipment or facility inspections.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
