Our client, a leader in the Automotive industry, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of the corporate department supporting multiple R&D facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Safety Specialist
**Location:** Long Beach, CA
**Pay Range:** $40/hr DOE plus benefits
**What's the Job?**
+ Conducting basic risk assessments and hazard analyses.
+ Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
+ Assisting in the development and delivery of safety training programs.
+ Documenting and reporting safety incidents and near misses.
+ Participating in safety audits and inspections.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
+ 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial operations with involvement in SHE programs.
+ Basic understanding of safety regulations, standards, and programs (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
