Safety Professional

Job Title: Safety Professional (EHS)

Description

Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & environmental requirements including plant, Corporate, local, state and federal regulations. Establish safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001). Review of HSE incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions. Coordinate plant safety teams.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

•\tEnsure compliance routes are completed and updated as needed

•\tBecome shop floor mentor and interface for HSE topics

•\tHSE related communication including training, safety alerts and production review meetings

•\tPrepare HSE related training material and lead training classes.

•\tLead / take part in Incident Investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions

•\tParticipate in/lead plant emergency response teams

•\tConduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements

•\tDevelop/revise HSE related policies/procedures for the plant and drive implementation

•\tLead safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and Bosch directives

•\tConducts formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes

•\tMaintain documentation to meet Bosch directives and regulatory requirements

•\tProvide leadership and guidance to the plant safety teams

•\tInteract with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies' requirements

•\tMaintain documentation to meet Bosch directives and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

•\tHigh school diploma or GED equivalent

•\t3+ years of experience in manufacturing/warehousing or industrial environment

•\tValid Driver's License

•\tComputer skills, strong MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

•\tKnowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001, ISO45001)

•\tLeadership skills

•\tAbility to work independently and/or with a team

This is a Contract position based out of Greer, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $30.00/hr.
