Safety Officer\n

Objective\n
The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining Million Air's Safety Management System (SMS). This position ensures compliance with all safety standards by overseeing document control, SOP updates, fuel QC oversight, ERP upkeep and training, and ramp safety surveillance. The Safety Officer will work closely with location leadership, corporate safety, and network teams to promote a proactive safety culture and mitigate operational risk.\n

Responsibilities and Duties\n\nImplement, maintain, and oversee the Million Air Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and safety promotion.\nMaintain accurate document control across all safety-related manuals, procedures, and forms; ensure SOPs are reviewed and updated regularly.\nOversee Fuel Quality Control (QC) compliance, support locations in fuel safety procedures, and ensure QC documentation remains current and accurate.\nMaintain the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) including documentation, contact lists, drills, and training requirements.\nLead monthly safety meetings with all locations to review safety trends, REDTAGs, observations, and corrective actions.\nCommunicate all safety concerns, network trends, and REDTAG notifications to Houston corporate leadership in a timely manner.\nDevelop, maintain, and oversee the company-wide Risk Management Plan, including risk assessments for operational activities.\nManage and support fatigue risk procedures to ensure compliance and employee well-\nConduct routine ramp safety surveillance, facility safety inspections, and follow up on corrective actions.\nPrepare and deliver daily safety topics, toolbox briefings, and ongoing safety content to reinforce workplace safety.\nSupport SMS and safety-related training for new hires, supervisors, and location \n\n\nDisseminate safety information, alerts, lessons learned, and procedural updates throughout the entire Million Air network.\n\n

Reporting Relationship\n
This position reports to Corporate Safety and\/or the General Manager depending on location structure.\n

Work Environment\n
This position works both indoors and outdoors, with regular exposure to active ramp areas, moving aircraft, hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, equipment, and machinery.\n
\n

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work\n
This is an exempt position.\n
This position may require working evenings, weekends, and scheduled company holidays.\n

Travel\n
Periodic travel is expected for this position to support audits, training, meetings, and safety oversight across the network.\n

Education, Experience and Eligibility Qualifications\n\nMinimum three (3) years aviation safety, FBO operations, or SMS \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications \nAbility to work evenings, weekends, and \nAcceptable driving \nAbility to pass a background \nZero tolerance drug free employer including pre-employment and random \n\n
