**Job Title: Safety Specialist** Job Description This is a field-focused safety position aimed at collaboration and coordination of safety policies within the construction industry. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety awareness. Responsibilities + Assist in the continued development and implementation of safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. + Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. + Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures. + Provide safety training and education programs to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE). + Help maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities. + Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability. + Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications + OSHA 30 certification + First Aid Certification + Certified Safety Professional + CPR Certification + Solid understanding of Basic OSHA standards + Knowledge of EPA regulations and workers' compensation laws + Strong understanding of root cause analysis techniques + Excellent report writing skills + Willingness to travel to out-of-town work sites when necessary + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills + Experience in quality control and inventory management + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar software + Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record of 3 years + Public speaking skills + Ability to work outside, and on your feet for up to 8 hours a day + Bilingual in Spanish Why Work Here?
