Job Title: Safety ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Falls Church or Leesburg, VA. The role involves overseeing safety protocols and practices for commercial and government projects, primarily located in NOVA and DC. This position is a salaried-exempt role, requiring a commitment of 40-45 hours per week, with the expectation to transition to a full-time employee status following the contract-to-hire period. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety of interior projects such as offices, garages, and building upgrades.

ResponsibilitiesManage safety protocols and procedures for commercial and government projects.Conduct and oversee all safety meetings.Schedule subcontractors in alignment with jobsite safety requirements.Ensure compliance with OSHA30 and EM-385 standards.Maintain active involvement in safety practices onsite.Essential Skills5+ years of SSHO or Safety Manager experience in commercial work.Experience working with a general contractor.Active OSHA30 certification.Active EM-385 certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsA relevant Construction or Engineering degree may reduce required experience to 3+ years.Strong familiarity with commercial construction projects.Ability to effectively manage safety meetings and scheduling.Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires a quick-thinking, proactive individual capable of handling onsite responsibilities. This position involves being present at project locations in NOVA and DC. The ideal candidate should thrive in dynamic settings and be comfortable maintaining high safety standards in a busy construction environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
