Job Title: Safety ManagerJob Description

The Construction EHS Manager will oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety aspects of a large-scale pharmaceutical industrial construction project. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as client-specific safety standards. The EHS Manager will lead safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and foster a culture of safety excellence across all project phases.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS plans aligned with OSHA, EPA, and pharmaceutical industry standards.Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and cleanroom construction protocols.Monitor adherence to corporate and client EHS policies.Conduct hazard identification and job safety analyses for high-risk activities such as confined space entry, chemical handling, and cleanroom installation.Implement corrective actions for identified risks and track closure.Deliver EHS orientation and ongoing training for all site personnel and subcontractors.Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and incident investigations of accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents.Prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.Maintain accurate EHS records, including permits, inspections, and compliance audits.Provide weekly and monthly EHS performance reports to project leadership and client.Manage waste disposal, chemical storage, and spill prevention in compliance with environmental regulations.Oversee air quality, water discharge, and noise monitoring as required for pharmaceutical projects.Essential SkillsMinimum 7+ years of EHS experience in industrial construction; pharmaceutical or biotech project experience preferred.Track record managing EHS programs on projects with GMP requirements.Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and pharmaceutical safety standards.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (required).OSHA 500/510 certification.CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred.Ability to work collaboratively with project teams.Work Environment

This role involves working on a large-scale pharmaceutical industrial construction project, adhering to GMP requirements and cleanroom protocols. The environment requires compliance with stringent safety and environmental regulations and involves regular interaction with project teams. This is a Contract position based out of Holly Springs, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
