Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and environmental management, is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Health & Environmental Specialist, you will be part of the Safety, Health, and Environmental department supporting site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Safety Health & Environmental Specialist
**Location: Bridgewater, NJ**
**What's the Job?**
+ Foster and develop a safety, health, and environment culture ingrained as a core value among all employees.
+ Develop lock out tag out (LOTO) control procedures, conduct employee training, and perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA hazardous energy control requirements.
+ Investigate all incidents thoroughly in coordination with Safety and Health Site leadership to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
+ Coordinate and facilitate safety, health, and environmental training programs for the site workforce.
+ Assist in maintaining ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications and ensure daily implementation of these standards.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
+ 2-3 years of experience in coordinating Safety, Health, and Environmental activities within a manufacturing setting.
+ Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations, and their application to site operations.
+ Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, GSP, or CIH are advantageous.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and Power BI platforms.
