Safety Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator reports to the Site Safety Manager. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. The Safety Coordinator will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities This is a list of the most prominent duties and responsibilities.Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.Plans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.Conduct hazard analyses of project operationsAssist in the update and maintenance of the company safety manualDevelop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasksCoordinates with operating activities to provide safety training and ensures safety awareness throughout Miller Electric Company.Work with personnel to assure safe placement and job assignmentAssist in the maintenance of accident record keepingProvide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.Foster a team environment when advising on needed correctionsPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications Required2+ years' experience working with OSHA regulations and safety proceduresUnderstanding of Workers’ CompensationStrong technical writing abilityA strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutionsAbility to address and train groups of 25-30Ability to adapt to a changing work environmentAbility to act independently with minimal daily directionAbility to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric CompanyHigh energy and self-motivatedApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
