**Job Title: Safety and Environmental Coordinator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Environmental Coordinator to oversee and enhance our safety programs and environmental management systems. This role is vital in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, promoting sustainability initiatives, and maintaining ISO standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation, annual training, and job-specific safety instruction.
+ Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and follow up with corrective actions.
+ Serve as the primary contact for workplace incidents; lead investigations, track corrective actions, and maintain accurate records.
+ Manage and update all required safety documentation including SDS, safety policies, procedures, and training logs.
+ Coordinate with leadership to ensure all departments meet safety compliance requirements.
+ Lead and maintain the facility’s ISO Environmental Management System.
+ Prepare and coordinate internal and external ISO audits, ensuring continual compliance.
+ Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting, including waste, energy, and resource management.
+ Promote employee involvement in safety programs through committees, safety talks, and engagement campaigns.
+ Support HR with documentation and coordination related to employee training records.
+ Act as liaison with regulatory agencies and emergency response personnel when necessary.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ISO standard.
+ Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in safety, training, or EHS role in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, HR, or related field preferred.
+ Certification in First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30, or equivalent is a plus.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software systems.

**Work Environment**
This position requires both office work and frequent presence on the production floor. Candidates must be able to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of San Marcos, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
