Hostlers are critical to our success at Sabra! Our Hostlers are responsible for working closely with warehouse operations to move and load trailers around the warehouse. The forklift operator II works closely with the warehouse coordinator II aiding in the execution of day-to day operations for the warehouse. This individual assists in the smooth flow of goods for incoming and outgoing shipments through safe and timely transport of product and materials primarily using a yard truck and other equipment as necessary. Performs duties such as moving trailers, yard checks, trailer temperature checks, safety audits and tractor inspections. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:
Moving trailers from lot to dock doors and back to lot as directed. Install and remove trailer stands as necessaryWork with supervisor to move raw material loads to doors as neededStage pallet and load into truck when readyApply and verify seals. Verify temperature and setpoint for all reefer units and complete trailer inspection form. Collaborate with quality team to ensure food safety and product quality requirements are executed and aid in the non-conformance processCollaborate with quality team to ensure food safety and product quality requirements are executed and aid in the non-conformance process. Adhere to OSHA requirements, GMPs, and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation as neededOther duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, loading, put away, case picking and load auditingWe operate 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and our jobs are physical!
