JOB TITLE
Budapest – Sr. Expert, Compensation COE 

JOB SUMMARY
•    Responsible for accounting for and preparation of analyses relating to employee compensation for various divisions, including preparation of deliverables to assist with the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings. 


REPORTING STRUCTURE
•    Reports to RTR, Manager in Budapest, with a dotted line to Director, Corporate Central Services in New York 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Booking of monthly and quarterly compensation related journal entries for select divisions, including for bonuses, commissions, 401k, health insurance and, pension expense. .
•    Assist in the monthly close process by reviewing monthly payroll interfaces and preparing analysis and journal entries including, , , those related to quarterly/year-end accruals, prepaid expenses, departmental reclasses, severance/restructuring and fringe expense adjustments.
•    Preparation of various monthly and quarterly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations.
•    Responsible for processing on a weekly basis all Cast & Crew and Entertainment Partners payment files and related clearing account reconciliations, including liaising with vendor and internal contacts to resolve any identified issues.
•    Develop and maintain internal accounting controls over the general ledger and internal financial reporting functions; ensure that internal control processes and procedures are adhered to, and all SOX tests are properly evidenced.
•    Participate in the migration of additional accounting activities and processes as it relates to the Compensation COE
•    Assist with ad hoc management requests, including interacting with external auditors and supporting quarterly/yearly audit requests.
•    Demonstrate a process improvement mindset and make all necessary efforts to standardize and harmonize procedures amongst divisions and regions, as needed.
•    Liaison between the Controllership, FP&A, and Division teams for any queries relating to the Compensation/Fringe work stream, as needed.
•    Assist the department with special projects as assigned by the VP, Controller or Director – Corporate Central Services.
•    Assist with maintaining the chart of accounts, as needed.
•    Lead and direct the work of temporary staff and interns, as necessary.

ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
•    BSC/MSC degree in Accounting/Finance
•    5+ years relevant post qualification work experience in a broad range of accounting functions
•    Proactive approach to challenges and issue resolutions, and the ability to take initiative, follow through and complete tasks on time
•    Strong and up-to-date accounting knowledge (US GAAP/IFRS) and understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes to be able to form an opinion on accounting and process matters
•    Excellent business English language skills both oral and written (B2/C1 or above)
•    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS SharePoint)
•    Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
