Router Operator
Job Title: Router Operator

Job Description

We are seeking two dedicated Router Operators to join our team. The Router Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating a CNC Router according to job specifications, while promoting a team-oriented and improvement-focused work environment. This role reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of materials used within the department.Plan and execute new setups, ensuring the correct program is called up.Operate the CNC machine, loading and unloading parts, and verifying that work meets operational and specification requirements.Collaborate with the detailing department to ensure job specifications are met.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.Identify and appropriately manage any defective items following established procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of experience with fabrication and router operation.Proficiency in reading a tape measure up to 1/16th of an inch.Ability to frequently bend and stoop, and lift products weighing up to 25 lbs.Strong attention to detail and consistency.Effective communication skills.Capability to maintain and perform basic equipment repairs.Basic proficiency in math, reading, and writing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Lean methodologies is preferred.Experience in packaging and inspection.Ability to operate a sit-down forklift is a plus.Experience in the sign industry is advantageous.

Work Environment

The position is based in a standard manufacturing facility, which is non-climate controlled and can be loud, requiring earplugs for certain tasks. The normal schedule is 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with current overtime hours from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and 6 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
