We are seeking a highly skilled Robotic Weld Technician with over 7 years of experience to join our team on the 3rd shift. This role involves maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, ensuring smooth operations within our Robotic Weld department. You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesRepair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.Replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.Document repairs and maintenance performed.Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.Troubleshoot electrical systems in both low and high voltage systems.Read ladder logic and PLC logic controls.Perform preventative maintenance and press repair.
Essential Skills7+ years of experience in an industrial automotive maintenance facility.3-5+ years of experience working in a stamping facility on presses (Fagor, HMS, Verson, Moeller, Schuler).Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience with mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, and valves.Welding and fabricating skills.Fanuc Robot troubleshooting, including edits, home, and teach pendants.
Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical troubleshooting up to 480V.PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens).

Work Environment
The facility is an older stamping and robotic weld plant with 42 presses and robots, located in Centerline. Safety is paramount, with steel toes, safety glasses, and sleeves required. The facility operates on two shifts and maintains a lean workforce to ensure efficiency.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.90 - $33.90/hr.
