**Job Title: Robot Operator**
**Job Description**
The Robotic Operator will be responsible for system operation and upkeep, ensuring system safety, operation, intermediate troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, area cleanliness, and effective communication with operators, supervisors, maintenance, and technical staff.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain system safety by understanding all safety requirements and keeping the cell in safe working order.
+ Operate the robotic system efficiently, including loading/unloading parts, replacing consumables, and starting programs.
+ Perform intermediate troubleshooting to maximize cell uptime, using alarm screens and HMI.
+ Carry out assigned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.
+ Keep the work area free of debris and verify that tool boards are properly maintained.
+ Communicate effectively with operators and technical staff to improve system performance and resolve issues.
+ Assist maintenance staff with system operation when necessary.
+ Complete logs and records accurately.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine operating and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in machine setup.
+ Ability to read and interpret Technique Cards, routings, and special instructions.
+ Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Problem-solving skills and ability to share information with others.
+ Ability to work independently.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior robotic experience is strongly preferred but not required.
+ Self-motivated and able to work independently.
+ Physical ability to lift or maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability to work in difficult conditions including exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and other elements.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in an industrial environment, involving the use of robotic cells, grit blast cells, hoists, straps, chains, hooks, forklifts, pallet jacks, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, inspection tools, and gages.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.39 - $25.39/hr.
