Job Title: Roadway SuperintendentJob Description A heavy highway, bridge, and sewer contractor is seeking experienced construction personnel to oversee and build a wide variety of public infrastructure projects. You will manage day‑to‑day field operations across roadway, earthwork, concrete, bridge, and sewer projects. This position requires strong coordination skills, the ability to lead crews, and a deep understanding of government-funded project requirements. Responsibilities + Oversee and manage day-to-day field operations across roadway, earthwork, concrete, bridge, and sewer projects. + Lead construction crews effectively, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards. + Coordinate schedules and subcontractors to ensure project deadlines are met. + Maintain compliance with all government-funded project requirements, including those from MODOT, MSD, municipalities, and St. Louis County Highway departments. Essential Skills + Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in roadway construction, earthwork, concrete paving, bridge construction, and sewer installation. + Experience working on government-funded projects. + Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise crews. + Ability to manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and production standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with municipalities and highway departments. Work Environment The position is onsite with travel within the St. Louis metro area.
