Roadway EIT/Designer

In the role of Roadway EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway/right of way projects

Support roadway designs and plan development in accordance to guidelines, standards, and specifications

Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other EITsPrepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projectsCollaborate with Right of Way and preconstruction staffParticipate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase

Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed

Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications

Reading and interpreting roadway and Right Of Way plans

Experience working with TDOTEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateProficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3dCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar fieldAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
