(https://hr.uw.edu/benefits/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2018/04/benefits-summary-classified-staff-less-than-half-time-20230701\_a11y.pdf)** **UW Medical Center-Northwest Heart Institute** has an outstanding opportunity for a **part-time (Intermittent hourly) Registered Nurse (RN)** to join the UW Medicine **HEART Institute** at **Mountlake Terrace and HEART Institute** at **Northwest.** **WORK SCHEDULE:** + Part-time as needed + Mon - Fri, Day Shift **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** **The Heart Institute Clinic at Mountlake Terrace (MLT)** provides care for our general cardiology patients, as well as multiple cardiac subspecialties, including non-invasive imaging. **The Heart Institute at Northwest (NW)** provides care for our general cardiology patients as well as multiple cardiac subspecialties, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and non-invasive imaging. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:** + Locations conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Managing the patient undergoing different Echocardiogram and Stress tests and doing Definity and Bubble Studies as indicated + Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, sonographers, research team, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of the patient population + IV skills, Stress echo monitoring, ECG analysis + Monitoring and checking defibrillators and similar equipment + Working knowledge of Universal Precautions + Patient education and teaching **REQUIREMENTS:** + Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date + 2 years of current or recent nursing experience in cardiovascular nursing, ICU, ER, or Telemetry **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST:** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
