Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab specializes in cardiac catheterization, vascular and structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology. Procedures performed in our lab include:

Angiograms (peripheral, iliac, mesenteric and renal) with interventionCatheter-directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosisCentral line placementComplex chronic total occlusionEmergency careFistulagramLeft and right heart catheterizations with percutaneous interventionIMPELLA heart pump placement and replacementInferior vena cava filter placement and removalIntra-aortic balloon pump placement and removalIntracoronary ultrasoundLeft atrial appendage closureRotational and orbital atherectomyValve replacement

Nurses in our unit grow in their professional practice, gaining critical skills for the complex care of our cardiovascular patients. We are known for our wonderful team approach, where providers and nurses work closely together to deliver exceptional patient care.

This position is a part of a team-driven atmosphere! You can be part of the newest innovations in this unit. Also, you are able to have a direct impact on patient's health by working as a team alongside the physician. On top of regular hours, this position only requires 1 on-call shift per week and every 5th weekend and 1-2 holidays per year.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.



Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
