**$10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake** has an outstanding opportunity for a **REGISTERED NURSE (RN) in our ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY (EP) LAB.** **WORK SCHEDULE:**
+ 100% FTE (40 hours weekly)
+ Day Shift, M-F
+ NO ‘Call’ obligation, but some ‘late stay’ is required **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** For over 30 years our physicians have been nationally recognized experts in atrial fibrillation ablation, MRI imaging for arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia ablation, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) including the subcutaneous ICD, prevention of sudden cardiac death, cardiac device infections including lead extraction, and arrhythmias in athletes. Through research protocols and FDA-approved therapies, we offer access to the newest technologies that frequently aren’t available elsewhere in the Northwest, like the Watchman device for atrial fibrillation.Our patients are treated compassionately in a collaborative setting, with a multidisciplinary team that includes experts in arrhythmia management and treatment, heart failure, cardiac transplant, cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia, infectious disease, cardiac imaging, structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and congenital heart disease. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:**

+ Located steps from UW campus and light rail station **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide direct and indirect patient care in EP Lab procedures
+ Scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating diagnostic and complex electrophysiology (EP) cardiology procedures
+ Case types include diagnostic EP studies, ablations (SVT, AVNRT, A-fib, A-flutter, VT, etc.), lead extractions and device implantations
+ Effectively communicate with physicians and other staff about changes in the patient’s condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptomatology
+ May participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department
+ There is no “On-Call” obligation in the EP Lab, but ‘Late Stay’ may be required for completing any cases extending beyond regular operating hours **REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
+ Previous EP Lab experience, including monitoring and scrubbing procedures
