Step into a dynamic and high-intensity environment at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee. Our 21-bed Level 3 Trauma Center caters to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. As an Emergency Room RN, you'll join a strong, welcoming, and supportive team dedicated to providing immediate, life-saving care. Your ability to assess, stabilize, and respond swiftly will have a significant impact each day. Our facility includes 21 beds and a 6-bed Emergency Mental Health area, supported by a team of 120 staff members handling approximately 40,000 visits annually. We leverage cutting-edge technology like Tele psychiatry and Tele-Stroke Neurology and are currently under renovation to expand our ED capacity to 26 beds, along with 4 fast-track rooms in Triage. We offer flexible orientation and foster a strong team culture that embraces and supports new staff. As a Level 3 Trauma center, we encounter a diverse range of cases, including trauma, mental health, substance abuse, and 18% pediatric patients.Key Position Details:
Tier 1: 1 year of RN ED experience or successful completion of ED RN orientation
Tier 2: RN experience in ED, EMS, or ICU patient care experience
Tier 3: Minimum 1 year RN Med/Surg/Tele experience or New Graduate with ED/EMT/EMS experience
Job Description:
Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs.
Treats patients who are suffering from trauma, injury or severed medical conditions that require urgent treatment.
Principle Responsibilities
◦ Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation, collaborates effectively with unit staff, leadership and other disciplines.Preceptor (only when acting in this role).
◦ Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plans appropriate learning experiences and demonstrates ability to validate clinical competence of orientee.Other duties as assigned.

◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Multisource required within 1 YearAdditional certifications may be needed at certain sites:
◦ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
◦ Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
◦ Other certifications may be required within 1 year of hire

Pay Range
Pay Range: $42.92 to $71.48 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
