**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

+ Maintains current knowledge of all patient safety standards and National Patient Safety goals and consistently incorporates into nursing practice.
+ Able to safely administer medications and blood/blood products using the 7 (seven) rights of medication and blood administration. Uses 2 (two) separate hospital approved identifiers to safely identify the patient prior to medication / blood administration.
+ Maintain a safe, therapeutic work environment at all times and identifies and addresses problems to the appropriate departments.
+ Adheres to principles of infection control, including medical and surgical asepsis and isolation techniques. Demonstrates aseptic technique while conducting sterile dressing changes, urinary catheterizations, and other similar duties.
+ Receive, interpret and implement physician orders in a safe and timely manner. Uses hospital approved process for telephone and / or verbal orders that include a readback of all orders.
+ Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including pre and post procedure.Must conduct a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
**Job Requirements**
Required
+ Hospital experience dealing with conscious sedation. and
+ Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
+ Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
Preferred
+ Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Interventional Radiology Experience, upon hire
