As a Risk Management - Strategic Analytics - Vice President, will support the Head of Card Risk Acquisitions and leadership team as Chief of Staff. Additionally, this role will have direct accountability within the Acquisitions Governance and Oversight team. The role serves two primary functions: Dotted line responsibilities to the Head of Consumer Acquisitions Card Risk where they will ensure the organization is anticipating and delivering against a wide range of tactical and strategic requests. They will be asked to own initiatives and projects that are cross-functional in nature, spanning all Acquisitions as well as LOB and functional partners
Job Responsibilities
Support organization-wide book of work including items including data migration and transformation initiatives for the group, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.Manage and coordinate timely, accurate responses for audit and regulatory requests, supporting both internal and external examinations to ensure compliance and transparency.Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance driversConduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk ManagementProvide support and work closely with the Card Risk Acquisitions team in planning and directing strategic, operational and administrative activities to meet business objectives
Responsible for driving core business planning activities and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Card Risk Acquisitions, including broad communication of strategic direction and implications
Ensure tight coordination, proactive management, and on-time delivery of key deliverables; project manage and execute key initiatives
Provide strategic input and develop recommendations on all organizational structure and resource allocation needs
Facilitate communication with internal and external partners to understand issues and effectively work to solve any problems, as needed
Ensure all periodic reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and functional review processes are executed; ensure accountability and completion of action items from reviews
Build and maintain relationships with peers inside and outside the organization and ensure strong collaboration across teams
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years work experience
Must have prior project management and/or credit risk experience, including experience turning findings into executable plans
Superior judgment, collaboration, and presentation skills including strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with risk analytic techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience delivering recommendations to management

Advanced understanding of SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx or other other Business Intelligence tools
