Job summary
As a Merchant Risk Credit Strategy Vice President in the Merchant Services Credit Risk team, you will lead strategic initiatives and project management efforts to enhance credit risk processes and controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and ensure strong oversight and compliance. Together, we will champion innovation, support technology initiatives, and foster a culture of partnership and continuous improvement. This role empowers you to influence change and make a meaningful difference in how we manage risk.

 

Job responsibilities

Partner with the Merchant Services credit risk management team to achieve business priorities and objectivesLead and coordinate merchant services credit risk initiatives focused on process improvement and automationDrive collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance risk management and controlsMonitor and oversee credit processes, data quality, and remediation effortsServe as a thought leader and advocate for merchant services credit risk in technology projects and working groupsSupport change management by facilitating adoption of new processes, technologies, and strategiesInterpret and apply policy requirements and procedures relevant to merchant services credit riskManage merchant services credit risk documentation, ensuring strong governance and effective controlsCommunicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levelsSynthesize and summarize complex data to support decision makingIdentify and address gaps in controls, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s degreeExperience in a commercial or investment bank credit or banking roleExperience in audit, control, operations, or program management roles with a record of high performanceStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communicationExcellent organizational and project management skills, able to manage competing prioritiesHigh initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressureAbility to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups and regionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesize complex dataExperience in control and process oversight, including gap identification and control managementUnderstanding of data management and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Office, SharePoint, and PowerPoint

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience in credit risk approvals, underwriting, and administrationKnowledge of credit risk policies, procedures, and standardsProject Management Professional certification
