Risk Management - Credit Risk Senior Officer - Affordable Housing

As a Senior Associate in the Risk Management - Multi-Family Underwriting team, you will leverage your credit training and previous experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily loans to assess the creditworthiness of clients, properties, and markets for new loan originations.

Job Responsibilities

Author concise, thoughtful credit analyses for multifamily transactions using Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelinesIdentify key risks and recommend appropriate loan structuresCollaborate with internal and external contacts to progress new loan originations efficientlyAnalyze due diligence documents and third-party reports to assess collateral, cash flow, sponsor, and market risksConduct site visits in compliance with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac standardsLead complex transactions, including credit facilities, portfolios, and forward dealsTrain and mentor junior Credit team membersContribute to platform infrastructure and process improvements through special projects

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree with a business focusAt least three years of experience in commercial real estate, including credit or structuring experienceSignificant knowledge of commercial real estate multifamily lendingStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac applications
