As a Credit Officer Director – Executive Director in Dealer Commercial Services, you will be a leader on the team and expected to understand the risk appetite, guide decision making, manage and influence business priorities, and oversee the ongoing production of the portfolio. With minimal guidance, you will be expected to approve and structure deals appropriately that are within your credit authority and provide guidance and recommendations on deals outside of your credit authority.
The Dealer Commercial Services team specializes in providing floorplan lines of credit, real estate loans, acquisition loans, working capital loans, and treasury products to our 500+ franchised retail automobile dealer group clients. We are searching for a Credit Officer Director to manage a portfolio of approximately 100 clients representing over $3 billion in loan commitments. The Credit Officer Director is recognized for superior commercial lending knowledge and analytical abilities. You must possess and apply a broad understanding of the business environment including, but not limited to automotive industry expertise, the ability to evaluate the impact of current events, and a broad based understanding of the impact of macroeconomic changes.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure Quality of Credit Decisions: Ensure all credit proposals are written to the highest quality standard and that all grading is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that all requests comply with all regulatory, policy and procedural requirements.Provide ongoing oversight of credit management activities with a focus on identification and remediation of troubled credits in a timely manner.Providing guidance to junior team members as it relates to policy, procedures and risk ratings.Oversee the Credit Officer pipeline, ensuring timely submission and focus to meet the needs of the clients. Maintain integrity of credit transactions (new originations and renewals) and effectively instigate credible challenges with the business. Demonstrated ability to present and support recommendations to senior managementEngage in deal teams and participate in customer meetings, as needed.
