Risk Management Coordinator
Our client in Oxnard, CA is looking to fill a full time Risk Management Coordinator. **Job Title: Risk Management Coordinator (Full time temp)** **Location: Oxnard, CA** **Pay Rate: $25.74** Hiring manager is looking for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in an office environment. Candidates with experience in safety, risk management, or workers' comp are a strong plus. **Role is temporary to cover a leave of absence, but it is possible to extend an additional month. Is not a temp to hire role.** **What’s the Job?** + Assist in the executing corrective actions found by internal or external audits. + Update SOPs under the direction of EGS staff. + Assist in the execution of EHS programs, posting documents, inspecting equipment, verifying dates, etc. + Support employee safety programs with documentation and observations. + Assist in training the working staff. Conduct internal self-audits + Assist in the response to employee accidents/incidents. Help initiate the workers comp system for the employees. + Assist in the completion of all necessary accident/incident documentation, including root cause analysis. Complete and file EGS paperwork. + Interact with workers to ensure PPE is being utilized properly. Create/update EHS safety posters. + Check all incoming and outgoing vehicles for correct merchandise and correct quantities + Conduct basic workers compensation tasks, i.e., completion of forms, filing, interacting with injured workers, facilitating nurse hotline calls and clinic visits, emails and data entry. **What’s Needed?** + Ability to communicate, both oral and written in English and Spanish. + PC skills including experience writing technical reports. + Disciplined record keeping, documentation skills, and attention to detail. + Good organizational skills.Ability to lift or more 25 lbs. + Ability and willingness to be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, safety work near moving mechanical parts and equipment, and temperatures between 35 & 45 degrees. + Ability and willingness to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, stoop, kneel, crouch, taste, smell, etc. as needed to perform essential tasks. + Perform job tasks objectively. Effective communication skills. + Ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organizationAbility to accomplish and manage tasks in a timely manner without constant direct supervision.
