Risk Management - Control Manager Senior Associate

The Risk Control team provides leadership to create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols. As a Risk Control Manager, you will be part of a diverse and talented team dedicated to oversight of the control framework for Asset Wealth Risk Management. You’ll foster relationships with our global business partners and other stakeholders across the organization to promote early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

 

As a Risk Control Manager in the Asset Wealth Risk Management team, you play a key role in driving our risk and control strategy. You help us identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring our business remains strong and resilient. Together, we foster a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver sustainable solutions and support our commitment to excellence. Additionally, this is a dynamic role in Firmwide Risk Control Management with responsibility for leading and enhancing a control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including the ability to:

Job Responsibilities

Lead execution of the control and operational risk evaluation frameworkAssess business processes to identify and analyze risk and control issuesVerify controls are properly designed and operating effectivelyAnalyze risk and control data to resolve issues and identify trendsEvaluate the impact of new policies, standards, and technology solutionsTrack and manage issues and action plans to ensure timely completionPrepare for and support regulatory, audit, and internal reviewsImplement firmwide control initiatives for Asset Wealth Risk ManagementCollaborate with business partners, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology teamsCommunicate findings and recommendations to managementDrive continuous improvement in the control environment

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance in financial servicesDemonstrated understanding of regulatory requirementsProven ability to lead and deliver projects under tight deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Experience developing executive presentationsAbility to work collaboratively across teamsStrong judgment and decision-making skillsCommitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Master’s degree or MBAExperience in Asset Wealth Management or Private Bank RiskFamiliarity with control frameworks and risk assessment methodologiesExperience supporting regulatory or audit reviewsKnowledge of change management protocolsAbility to influence and gain consensus among stakeholdersExperience with data analysis and reporting tools
