As a Strategic Data Associate, you'll drive structure and discipline around each initiative using standard project deliverables and framework, including establishing scope, and perform detailed business impact analysis in support of management decisions. Additionally, you'll partner with multiple modeling and analytics stakeholders to resolve to ensure data requirements are timely delivered, manage changes to project scope, document and complete Quality requirements, create and manage implementation plans, and participate in meetings.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct complex data analysis to identify data anomalies and gaps and implement process improvements and changesEnsure delivery of critical and time sensitive Modeling and strategic processes with accuracy within agreed timelines.Serve as a subject matter expert for several processes.Develop complex and efficient data delivery systems from multiple sources and systems (Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Flat files…etc.) to augment advanced analytics, modeling and regulatory requirements - design, Implement and enhanceMonitor quality control processes and documentation.Identify, analyze and interpret data trends or patterns in complex data sets and drive root cause analysis and establish key metrics to track performance across multiple timeframes.Perform root cause analysis and interpret data using various techniques to identify anomalies and suggest solutions.. Track identified data quality issues and drive resolution through constant follow-ups and resolving potential dependencies.Provide implementation support, inclusive of testing and process change management, and ensure those implementations meet requirements established by Oversight and Control partners.Apply a critical eye in evaluating existing processes and frameworks; challenge the status quo and recommend solutions/ enhancements to operating models and controls.Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Bachelor's degree in any technical discipline.2 years of relevant experience within Banking / Financial Services / Analytics industryProficiency in SAS, SQL, Oracle, Unix. Alteryx and Tableau with basic understanding of Big Data solutions (Hadoop, Hive, NoSQL etc.)Hands on experience in Python or other general programing languages.Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior managementGood Technical, Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross functional groups.Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with relational databases, cloud-based platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint and VB with ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way, “tell a story “With dataAbility to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize workBe a team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain a positive attitude and high-level of performance on high-profile/time-sensitive initiativesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
