Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Medical Coder to join their team. As a Medical Coder, you will be part of the coding department supporting various physician groups. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Medical Coder
**Location:** Meridian, ID
**Pay Range:** $28 - $32/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Monitor audit project activities to perform initial and/or follow-up outreach to physician groups and/or contracted vendors for chart procurement.
+ Research and resolve non-retrievable chart case inventory.
+ Retrieve records via various electronic and on-site methods.
+ Review, interpret, audit, code, and analyze medical records, claims, and encounter information as it pertains to Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC).
+ Assist in the development of risk adjustment documentation, coding tools, and resources.
**What's Needed?**
+ 3+ years’ experience in the health industry, including medical record coding, preferably with HCC and/or Risk Adjustment coding experience.
+ Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
+ Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) certification preferred.
+ Strong understanding of ICD guidelines, CMS rules, and regulations.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
