Right of Way Associate
The Right of Way Associate plays a pivotal role in coordinating projects, acquiring easements, conducting title research, negotiating damage claims, and building relationships with customers. This position is integral to supporting critical engineering and sciences initiatives that enhance the way companies serve the world.
Responsibilities
Acquire land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other necessary documents for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission lines and distribution facilities.Prepare, maintain, and revise property owners’ files, right of way maps, records, drawings, exhibits, and necessary progress reports.Act as an expert witness and assist legal counsel and project management with witness selection and court actions related to condemnation.Negotiate with landowners for rights acquisition related to the construction, reconstruction, enlargement, or maintenance of electric transmission and distribution facilities.Settle damage claims with landowners caused during the construction, reconstruction, enlargement, maintenance, or removal of transmission and distribution facilities.Conduct title research by searching courthouse and other records to determine current property ownership and interests.Advise and assist in establishing fair market values for land and land rights acquisition based on real estate values and appraisal practices.Draft and prepare necessary documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, and other acquisitions.Participate in public meetings and informational hearings as needed.Assume additional responsibilities and projects, maintaining close communication with personnel.Job Type & Location

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
