Rigging Foreman
**Job Title: Foreman** **Job Description** As a Foreman, you will be responsible for safely moving machinery of all sizes and completing rigging projects that involve large stamping presses, weld cells, assembly cells, fixtures, and mezzanines. You will operate gantries, overhead, and mobile cranes, as well as forklifts ranging from 3 tons to 40 tons. You will lead crews on both small and large projects, communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and estimators regarding job status, adhere to company safety standards and policies, and train apprentices and craftsmen on the job. **Responsibilities** + Safely move machinery of all sizes. + Complete rigging projects with large stamping presses, weld cells, assembly cells, fixtures, and mezzanines. + Operate gantry, overhead, and mobile cranes. + Operate forklifts ranging from 3 tons to 40 tons. + Lead crews on both small and large projects. + Communicate with customers, project managers, and estimators regarding job status. + Adhere to company safety standards and policies. + Train apprentices and craftsmen on the job. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 5 years’ experience installing and removing industrial machinery. + Experience operating gantries, overhead cranes, and mobile cranes. + Valid driver's license. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CDL-A license beneficial but not required. + Willingness to travel as job site location dictates beneficial but not required. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive health insurance and a 401(k) plan with competitive wages. We also offer a $2500 sign-on bonus, with increments provided after 30 and 90 days. **Work Environment** This is a 1st shift role running Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM, typically involving 9 to 10 hour workdays. You will usually work one weekend a month and meet at the shop in the morning to travel to job sites with the foreman. Travel comprises up to 40% of the year, mainly during the week with minimal weekend travel. You will work at large industrial facilities conducting maintenance 70-80% of the time and installation construction the remainder of the time. Pay is $28-$40 depending on experience and certifications. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Walker, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
