Job Title: RiggerJob Description

We are seeking several skilled riggers for an initial 1-2 month project, with the potential for extension based on performance and attendance. This role is critical in moving and installing large Makeup Air Units/HVAC systems for a significant commercial project. The position requires individuals with previous rigging experience who can work safely and effectively in a team setting.

ResponsibilitiesAlign, level, and anchor machinery.Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving using hand and power tools.Obtain necessary training and safety certifications to complete tasks.Attend rigging classes as required.Collaborate with crews to learn the process of moving large machinery.Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts and clamps.Control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials.Understand equipment uses and follow procedures for equipment placement and tie-down.Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.Work onsite at customer locations as needed.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Understanding of rigging practices.Interest in transportation and machinery moving.Ability to apply concepts of weights, balances, and measurements.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in rigging, construction, and general labor.Proficiency in using hand tools.Mechanical aptitude.Why Work Here?

The work environment is a large construction site with thousands of employees. The position operates on a day shift from 6am to 4:30pm, with overtime available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
